Other half wants to buy me a evening dress watch for my birthday but I/we have no idea where to look that won't rip us off, any suggestions would be welcome, I've been told up to £1000 but would prefer it to be a lot lower, but she's paying :-)

If you’re going for pre owned have a look at Watchfinder’s website, some nice pieces sub £1000. If you’ve an idea what brand / model you’re after do a Google shopping search for it and find the best price from the bigger jewellers and don’t forget to look for any valid money off vouchers on line.
