2018 Château Roquegrave, Médoc
Château Roquegrave – a family owned estate comprising 30 hectares of vineyards planted on a high plateau with a commanding view of the Gironde estuary. With an average age of 25 years, the vines are carefully tended by winemaker and owner Pierre Yves Joannon. 2018 was no dream year for Bordeaux, as many vineyards were caught out by the humid conditions of spring. Low yields and great summer weather right through to harvest, however, has ensured exceptional quality – "legends in the making". a rich, complex claret, crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (45%) with a splash of Petit Verdot (5%), all aged in fine French oak. A supple Bordeaux, worthy of its acclaim.
14% ABV About £12 a bottle.

Glenturret triple wood..this is the 2021 edition.
Elegant and heavy bottle and a nice fruity and vanilla nose...
Vanilla sweetness hits lips followed by spices and oranges. Sultanas are then to front but vanilla is even all way.
Nice prickle on tongue and a medium finish.
Very elegant
