Okay their bacon is a bit weird and the butter looks like ice cream but otherwise they know how to do it properly.
Yeah my uncle found that out too when he emigrated to work in America in the late 1970s. He then spent 30 years eating breakfast in an American diner every morning on his way to work.

On his return to UK when he retired he had a quadruple heart bypass.

I don't understand breakfast. The last thing I want when I get up is the sight of food, never wanted to eat before lunch.

I know a few people who don't eat breakfast and if they do it is very late and savoury so could actually be classified as lunch.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Do you ear your dinner late? If not, that's a long fast. I heard it's good for you, fasting that is. I need breakfast as a manual worker, and I need it on days off as I usually do something active, but I do like the feeling of an empty stomach in the morning, it feels right.

I normally eat twice daily, lunch and tea, no snacks usually. It's not a discipline, it's just the way I do things.

just thinking what I've had today

Breakfast was one of those Kellog breakfast bars and half a bar of Lindt extra-creamy. At weekend would usually be crunchy nut cornflakes followed by waffles with butter and maple syrup (the proper stuff not that fake crap). But no time for that on a work morning.

Elevenses - bag of plain crisps

Lunch - burger with cheese and fried onions. I don't always have a burger, yesterday it was pizza and Wed thru to Friday it'll be oatcakes with bacon and cheese.

Usually I'd have some chocolate biscuits mid- afternoon and some more - with cups of tea ofc - about five oclock when the office empties out. No time today plus the biccies had run out.

Get home, pint of full-fat milk

Not had me tea yet. I usually eat about nine, nothing heavy. Cheese and crackers, salami, maybe a yogurt and a chocolate mousse for afters. Usually have a bit of chocolate before bed too.
