Like you say implosion is instant, you wouldn't even know you were dead. Feel bad for that 19 year old youth, whole life ahead of him.
It always ended ok on "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". Even when disaster stuck and the Seaview was pissing in water, they could stop the leaks by just turning a few knobs. He knew his stuff, Richard Basehart.

yeah but any submarine film even if they don't all end up dying horribly there's always water coming in at some point which would be enough to turn me over.

Thing is, if the submersible is being used in international waters its use isn't regulated and doesn't come under anyone's jurisdiction. Of course that won't stop the families from going after them.

If it wasn't over quickly that bloke who made it must have been kicking himself he didn't fit any of those knobs in his submarine.

Have to say I wouldn't have gone down deep end of pool in it.

At least it would have been quick.
I'd been following this. When they said it hadn't surfaced following communications loss, I had the feeling they were done for. It was apparently designed to jettison ballast weights and surface automatically in an emergency.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Oh dear, seems we're a big step close to nuclear Armageddon, the narrative only gets worse. When the fuck are the US going to step back? Only after so I hear that a European Nato state gets nuked, and that's bound to be the UK, seeing as we are the biggest fucking idiots in Europe, sorry the biggest allies to Ukraine, well after Poland perhaps. This is the state of play right now among Russian academics.
