“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

AS seem to have a lot of gear and accessories that would be difficult to find elsewhere unless you were buying from abroad .
Their prices are not cheap but their service is excellent.

Agree James, can shop around and get a few quid off from Ebay sellers and the like,
but I'm glad I bought the Pro-Ject from AS and not "HifiMan6321551684" on Ebay for £20 less!

Dodged a bullet with the the Pro-Ject
New ones working fine, and next day Collection/delivery too.

No messing about with RMAs, labels or anything.
Ok with not having it on Betamax nowadays

    Spot On Steve.

Had resigned myself to RMA'ing it, waiting for it to go to Pro-Ject for examination, weeks and weeks to go by without a phonostage.

"Sorry 'bout that, we will get DPD to deliver a new one tommorow. Our Apologies again."
Service like that is worth highlighting.

Thats why I support Bricks n Mortar stores when I can,
the service you get from a good dealer, with auditions, loan of equipment before buying and all that good stuff, is worth encouraging.

Glad you got sorted quickly Gary. My last purchase took 4 weeks to sort but that was from another dealership. At least it didn’t cost me anything apart from a long wait.
