Getting rid of my TV "service" was the best thing I've did in years.

Streaming box hooked up to the telly, watch what you want fron Netflix, Prime etc.
Even YouTube is a great source of stuff.

No licence required as Grant says.
    Letting go and relaxing
is the most ‘in control’ thing you can do

The cost of the licence is nothing compared to the cost of the subscription. I hate giving money to the BBC as it's a disgrace but I think their days are numbered anyway. How many licence fees to pay that wanker Lineker's salary alone? That can't last forever. No youngsters I know pay for the licence.

Right load of rubbish on those streaming services. I have Amazon the only thing worth watching on it is Clarkson. A few decent old shows but you have to pay again to watch them. Total rip-off.

Mostly I watch 1960s and 1970s telly and there's none of that on Netflix or any of the others.

It's always on ITV4 anyway. I watched every episode from the first to the last twice over on there when I was working from home.

Now that's a show you can watch any number of times, you can't say that about the modern rubbish.

Tories just don't learn... ps, i know she isn't a tory mp now but joinned brexit party as the tories were not tory enough. not sure who she's with now

Families should go without cheese sandwiches if they cannot afford the ingredients,*Ann Widdecombe*has said.

The former Brexit party MEP said there was no “given right” for low food prices, despite being told families “cannot afford to feed their children” and were having to make huge sacrifices as the cost of living crisis deepens.

Widdecombe, who joined the Reform UK party this year, was on BBC’s Politics Live programme when she was asked what she would say to consumers who could not afford to pay for basics such as the ingredients of a cheese sandwich.

“Well then you don’t do the cheese sandwich,” Widdecombe replied. “None of it’s new. We’ve been through this before. The problem is we’ve been decades now without inflation, we’ve come to regard it as some kind of given right.”

The government has been urged to intervene in the deepening crisis as research has found some meat and vegetable items at supermarkets have almost doubled in price over the past year.

Typical fantasy thinking. Like Grant Shapps on the bedroom tax when it was introduced, saying he thought it was a great idea. All those on the poverty line and in social housing were clobbered if their allocated home happened to have an extra room.

Had a good day getting my teeth sorted out. Found an NHS dentist half an hour walk away that saw me for a check-up, and did five fillings all in one visit. Cost me less than £100 and I felt no pain. Brilliant!
