With David Bowie playing alto and tenor saxophone! Oh and of course the legend that is Rick Wakeman on piano.
Ziggy Stardust does come a close second, followed by Aladdin Sane.
Unlike Ed Sheeran, Bowie's songs could never be accused of sounding like somebody else's, apart from his Anthony Newly-ish early stuff.

However if you want to hear Donovan from his hippy trippy days, then I would recommend his 'Gift from a Flower to a Garden' (the title say's it all).
