Gutted - I could do with improving the performance of my hoover.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

Hoover now rewired and my system sounds so much better!

On a serious note I did purchase this cable for my digital system and have been evaluating its contribution over the past few nights and it has had quite a profound effect. Not only do I not get total loss of connection anymore, I don't have any glitches or drop outs in sound. Well that's a start.

On further listening I have found I don't need to attenuate the volume control as much ? Strange. But the most noticeable difference is the removal of a glare and haze that was cast over the whole sound which made it sound very harsh and processed. Everything now sounds way better and less synthetic with no glare at all. So it appears I have been nobbling my digital system for some time now without knowing.

The cable is from UGreen and cost about £8. The connectors fit very tight and snug and it appears to be very well made indeed. So if you are looking for a cheap USB B - USB -C cable or USB A- USB C check out what UGreen have to offer as it has proven to work beyond expectation in my system and makes digital almost listenable!

Always looking for possible Isolation improvements for my turntable and I came across these.

    https://www.ginkgoaudio.com/product-...y/vcs/cloud22/.

The reviews of them are very good and very convincing so rather than purchase these exact balls I have once again asked for my partner to help as she has lots of experience with Wool and can spin wool balls with a ball winder. No smutty jokes and this is not a wind up!

I need to purchase the wool and my other half has kindly agreed to manufacture something very similar. As soon as I have something available I will evaluate under the VPI turntable. Take a look at this chaps review.

The white paper makes interesting reading compared to spikes used under speakers!

Could you really wind a ball of wool tight enough so it wouldn't completely squash flat under the weight?

I am not sure if there is something else at the core of the Cloud 22 balls but you can wind wool very tight on a machine. I had a look at one last night and it was very firm and difficult to squash, almost same as a tennis ball. The wool is then felted which gives that finished appearance to the Cloud 22 balls.

I will have a go and evaluate.
