Aura, I did not know that... always spreads across from left side, covering more and more vision, then fading after 30 mins or so. Never got the headaches fortunately, though there's a first time for everything.

I get exactly the same symptoms Steve. No headache though and apparently it is not something to worry about. Had a lot fewer since stopping work but when dehydrated I occasionally get one now.

Had a read up about it, and as you say nothing to worry about. Interesting that yours have become less frequent since stopping work, for me it appears to be more frequent since I semi-retired last month - might be the stress of all the jobs Mrs. P is finding for me to do around the house
Article says that it can be brought on by something we eat, but in my case it might be that I eat everything that's not nailed down.
So far today: 2 posh coffees, 4 shredded wheat, 4 crumpets, 2 ham & cheese toasties, and an ice cream cornet. Maybe it was the cheese.

who knows tbh... hormones, stress etc may be most likely but it may just be an issue with brain wiring and the way it reacts under certain stimuli. my sister never got to bottom of it but its not as bad now as it was when she was younger. she is in her 70's now tho.
