She started her singing career at the age of 12 with the Cape Verdean band Skysound, and subsequently lent her vocal talent to various albums by well-known groups such as Gil & The Perfects and Splash. At that time, Medina is one of the first Cape Verdean singers to be professionally involved with music so early. In 1995 Medina makes her solo debut "Paixao e Coracao", followed two years later by "Separacao". She thus becomes a real pop star in Cape Verde
In 2015, Medina recorded the album “Pegam na mô”. On this album, which she makes together with Thijs Borsten, she combines different styles such as the Funana, Zouk and of course the Morna (a traditional Cape Verdean type of music full of melancholy).

I too like Pink Floyd, having all of their LPs up to, and including, 'The Final Cut', whereupon Roger Waters left the group. After that I lost interest in PF (though I think I have 'The Division Bell' on CD somewhere).You're right
I have seen them play live twice; once when Syd Barrett was with them.

I'm rather jealous - I wished I'd seen Floyd; I've seen many, many bands that I've liked over the years but not seeing Floyd is one of my biggest regrets !!
