Agreed, that's what I'm hearing with the linear supply.

Stan, did I remember correctly you saying that 15-16V 3A would be fine for the linear power supply. If so I came across these, I've not seen regulation as good as this, 0.25 mV RMS ripple! http://www.acopian.com/store/9-(7).aspx model A15MT300 (15-15.5 V 3 A). For $215 it's a bit more than your CB power supply but 0.005% regulation

Are you trying to crack a nut with a hammer? The Mastech HERE is almost as good and a mere fraction of the price. If I could get hold of these in the UK or they did a 240V version I would get a few.
