Have a great time there Steve. It looks a nice place to stay.

Happy walking - don't get too upset with all the other walkers spoiling the scenic views with their day-glow kagools.

Thanks Barry - I agree, those folk know how to make a beautiful landscape look untidy, they're like walking litter. Their justification would be that they can more easily be found if they get lost on the fells. Though most of them won't climb any further than upstairs at the Beatrix Potter museum.

Needs a bit of 'Grecian 2000' on that grey muzzle. I had a friend who used to do that with his Staffy. It does work.

(He was absolutely crackers, in case you're wondering).

My parents spent their honeymoon at Lake Windermere. (However my father assured me I was not a 'honeymoon baby'! )

Have a great time - let's see some photographs of you stay.

I see Herne Bay, Kent has been voted 'worst seaside town' in Kent by Which? Presumably, because it is not 'touristy' and over-commercialised.
Suits me, our other place is there and it's a tidy, fairly calm and relaxed town and less impacted by all the holidaymaker hassle .

If you get yourself a really good telescope, perhaps you could see Jaywick over the water. See what you're really missing

    'We haven’t got a McDonald’s or a Costa.'

There's you're problem right there. Your hipster needs his five quid coffee or it's not happening and your chav needs his burger or likewise. How can they feed their children if there's no Maccie-D?

I bet there's no safe spaces for people who are gender-curious either. Seems to me they need to get their act together.

Probably tripping over monuments to slavery as well. They'll all need to come down.

We have those up here, we call them public toilets. Not what you'd call safe though, I'm told
