    Our local beef farmer who sells some great beef ,came to us with some stuff we ordered . She put a carrier bag in my hand with a fresh Ox heart in it .
    Not usually squeamish but I have trimmed it up and put it in the slow cooker with some beef stock ,garlic and paprika ,oregano ,and going to cook it on slow all day for tonights tea

    I fully expect it to be lovely ,whereas my wife nearly runs outta the kitchen at the mention of it

    As the saying goes ,if you eat all the best bits then you have to make full use of every bit ,bar the squeek

    ox tongue is nice but needs a lot of cooking etc. not gonna start eating ox heart tho... not that much of a meaty
