    Only the dial is old (70 years?) the rest of the watch is fairly new, custom build with a Seagull ST36 mechanical movement.

    Seagull -would that be the Chinese company that also made cameras (twin lens reflex designs)?

    It seems there are two Chinese manufacturers called Seagull. One makes watch movements (in fact quarter of the global output! ), the other cameras: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seagull_Camera.

    Over about 4/5 days watch appears to have gained 1 minute, so is within manufacturing specs of -+ 15-25 secs per day.
