Im a fan, he's a trusted opinion in my book.

Saw your post here, and remembered a recent video of his.
He recently posted about his "possibly endgame" speaker - The Q Acoustics Concept 50.

His content is really interesting, but He covers all the budget ranges (and good man for that) though I didn't pay much mind up till the point he said in his review of the Concept 50's the Q Acoustics do mid and top end BETTER than the Wharfedale Elysian 4's he recently reviewed.
AMT tweeter, dedicated mid cone and all.

Love my Evo 4.4's, Elysians are better, (and 5 times the price) but not suited to my room - so that comment got my attention!

    As a Krell guy,
know you like a bit of grunt, and a comment about the concept 50's were a slight lack in the low end region?

    Considering your budget though:
What about the Big Daddy of the Q Acoustic Concept range - the Concept 500's?

    A hair over 4.5K.
    These look Feckin' awesome

    Great Video on 'em here:

    Seem room friendly too?
    It's just a thought...
    Hi Gaz

I've had a bit of a listen to those Q Acoustic although it was in a bad room, acoustically speaking. They are good but I did not think they were as good as what I already have.

I agree about Andrew Robinson, one of the few who is worth watching.

Are you thinking about the ones Tony at Coherent has? His look much nicer than the ones in the link here. I bet you could get a home demo no problem

I'm familiar with the 100 but only the active version. Yes they are good. Big and heavy though.
