I have no problem with being just plain wrong, it won't be the first time. But you won't convince me that bad behaviour among politicians is a new thing. It just isn't as easily hidden as it used to be.
We've had televised parliament since the 80s, but there was considerable opposition to it among MPs at the time. Maggie herself was concerned for "the good reputation of the House".
Time spent wringing our hands in despair at all this is time not enjoying good music, so at the risk of appearing shallow I'll just say I'm out of this...
