I have to confess it doesn't do much for me, but that might be due to the fact that I thought it was a recording of a pop/rock 'opera' I saw on TV a few months ago, written by Sting about the rise and fall of shipbuilding he grew up with in Newcastle. Of the several artists performing in this broadcast was Jimmy Nail.
I was so impressed by the show, I immediately went on-line to buy what I thought was a recording. My mistake!No doubt I will find more in it that I will like upon further listening.

I have that. An interesting 'band' (they prefer to use the term 'project') having no fixed membership. I have another of their recordings ('Le Roi est Mort, Vive le Roi!') and between the two I think I have enough of Enigma's distinctive sampling new-age/ambient/electronica sound.Now spinning....

I have nearly all their albums. I find that MCMXCaD is better on the Ltd Edition version with the lenticular cover !!! Those extra tracks make it sooooooo good!!
