    You were lucky to find a unit that the Krell fitted into so well, although my Luxman fitted into the old charm unit I got width wise (just) I had to make some minor adjustments at the back

    I know. I've no idea what it was intended for in civilian use but that's probably why they couldn't flog it.

    The trouble with the Krell is that it's just slightly wider than standard, just enough so it won't fit in a dedicated hi-fi rack by about 5mm on each side.

    Confess I did look for something old I could butcher to purpose like you did but couldn't find a damn thing, it was all second-hand Ikea and DFS.

    meant to say my new car has a krell sound system in it, which is pretty good. so ive kinda joined the krell club.lol

    You can get a replacement one on Amazon but I think they're from China.
