Dr. Watson's revolver appears to be a Webley RIC No. 1 New Model (distinguishable from the older RICs by its fluted cylinder), an inspired choice by the filmmakers as it dovetails perfectly into Watson's service time, British Army regulations about service cartridge chambering, and Watson's likely financial means at the time (the New Model had been in production for several years by 1879 and used specimens could have been had fairly cheaply).

While the book showed Dr. Sigmund Freud with a daughter, the child he had in real life, the movie showed him with a make-believe son, because Dr. Anna Freud threatened a lawsuit if she was included. Since her father was dead, she had no control over how he was portrayed.

Gene Tierney recalled that during production, "Lubitsch was a tyrant on the set, the most demanding of directors. After one scene, which took from noon until five to get, I was almost in tears from listening to Lubitsch shout at me. The next day I sought him out, looked him in the eye, and said, 'Mr. Lubitsch, I'm willing to do my best but I just can't go on working on this picture if you're going to keep shouting at me.' 'I'm paid to shout at you', he bellowed. 'Yes', I said, 'and I'm paid to take it - but not enough.' After a tense pause, Lubitsch broke out laughing. From then on we got along famously." Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.






Peter Cushing supposedly only agreed to do this film if Roberta Tovey returned as his grand-daughter alongside him, having built up a rapport on the previous film.
This sequel to Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) was to have been followed by a third film, to be based on the 1965 TV episode "The Chase." This was never made due to disappointing box office results of the first two films and the producers thinking that "The Chase" wouldn't have made a very good movie.

was watching 'Genesis Of The Daleks' the other day on Forces TV. Quality one that, probably the best one they ever did. Terry Nation writes ofc.

yeah i think ive got that baker series.. i liked tom; good actor.

His are really the only ones worth watching for me. Some of the Jon Pertwee stories aren't bad though.

daleks were based on nazis; i guess today they'd be russians... with a big putin face of course.

Terry Nation though, almost everything he did was about the Nazis or based on the Nazis.
