Sad day yesterday - Mrs B's trusty company Jaguar XE went back after 4 years of faultless service. Not a single problem during that time, it was a superb motorway mile-muncher and far better handling on the twisties than the BMW 3-series that preceded it. In fact, the only bad thing about it was the stereo, which was rubbish. The speakers may have worn "Meridian" badges but I'm not convinced Meridian had anything to do with developing its sound!

Even though it ran on tractor fuel and had a puny 2.0 engine with not enough cylinders, I'm going to miss it.

Diesel Jags are (were?) an abomination. A violation of God's law.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

    As are the estates.

Came close to buying a Jaguar XF, but in the end opted for something less extravagant and more practical.

im still getting good mileage on the ev. its quite a good drive using a single pedal 99% of time. the regen stuff does all but stop you tbh. even at this time of year, on local driving; a mix of motorway, a and b roads and some town work im getting around the 300 mark it would seem, or not far off it. im inclined to charge it even when its charged fairly high.. today when i plugged it in after a run, it decided to charge itself... not sure why yet tho lol.
its costing me even on a fairly high tarrif of 21p leccy, its still well below half a petrol car; just a different way of paying.

I’ll let you take that up with Mrs. B.

Obviously she’d have preferred the supercharged V6 petrol but company car tax and all that!

What is the difference? Jaguar call their estates "sportsbacks", but to me that is just marketing.
