I tried a Parnis GMT just like the above, but it was a fraction of a degree off when centred so I had to sell it on, never again.

The only character watch I bought was a Mao Tse Tung watch from a street vendor when I was in Shanghai for a work trip in 2005. He waved his hand every second. By the time the plane landed at Heathrow it had stopped working and a hand (not Mao's) had dropped off.
