Yes, my father drove one for a while. I was surprised he chose a Japanese manufacturer. He was in the car business, and had to admit the Japanese had got it right, in providing a reliable and comfortable car at a reasonable price.

I think the Almera was more of a Sunny replacement. About time too - my Sunny was so slow it was embarrassing. But then it was only a 1.4. There was a Sunny GTi iirc, that would have been nippy, and probably rare.

    One sold here https://themarket.co.uk/en/listings/...e-2bf2331b9efc

Tidy with 55K on it, fetched twenty. Not so rare in Japan, allegedly.

    Question?

The Company I work for is a big promoter of all things green,
low carbon footprint, sustainability all that good stuff.

Big promoter of electric vehicles too.
    (they design and make them)
and they are offering some folks an electric Company Car under the "Salary Sacrifice" scheme.

Basically (I think?) a lease agreement taken from Gross salary, advantages being the Company can offer cars at a discounted rate, and everything paid for - insurance, maintenance.
Like a Cycle to Work scheme, except with an electric car.

So turns out I've been offered the chance to apply for one.

    Anybody been down this road?
    Advantages/ disadvantages...potential Gotcha's?

Will be a chance to get something really rather nice,
    so considering it.

    thanks for any info.

    Thanks Grant.

    I did a Googly,
and there's a Tesla supercharger 5 minutes from my work, 20 minutes from the house.

See what happens and how the costs play out,
But got my eye on a Tesla model 3.
Ok with not having it on Betamax nowadays
