    i was arrested and beaten up in front of whole station. they all laughed and wanted me to react so they could all jump in. thing was i hadnt done anything but older bad cops carry sway with the younger ones and this is what you get.
    we get what we pay for.. thugs mostly. any good ones going in soon get told to go with the sway of the force. back each other up or your finished.
    its all of our faults' for not demanding better.

    Years ago it was like that, I don't get the impression that it is now.

    A friend of mine was arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering. This was about 1971. The held him in the cells for three days without charging him, but he wouldn't confess so they beat him up and then let him go.

    PACE stopped a lot of that though, according to my uncle.

    mine was before pace but ive heard it still goes on.. maybe not so often tho. i might add i dont tar them all with same brush; but many are just legalised thugs sadly, and very racist too.
