only issue ive really noticed on mine is if a car infront brakes on a narrow inside filter lane(non motorway) it can think there is an issue, but its not really meant for non motorway really. normal cruise is supposed to be used there.
also as said, the radar sometimes get dirty and shut it down. it happens occasionally in muddy spray sometimes; at least it tells you.
but mine is perhaps old school as it probably wasnt state of art 3 years ago i dont think. but 3 years is a long time in tech

Well, I'm old in the sense that I'm older than people who are younger than me! Haha..
I get your point of course, but I certainly don't feel 'old', and can run rings around many guys my age and some considerably younger. Having a wife 15 years my junior, and who's also very young for her age (in looks and outlook), with boundless levels of energy, certainly helps keep me fit!
But yes, in terms of the rest, I don't see that happening in your driving lifetime or mine, but I do believe it *WILL* happen, and while I'm still on the road, I certainly won't be encouraging it, by buying into it!

I've been roughing out my design for a clockwork car. It all seems workable apart from one insoluble issue. Where do I keep that bloody great key?
I do think it stands more chance of success than my previous idea, the windmill powered car.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Yups... But what I mean is that a car for me is not just a means of getting from A to B, around some overcrowded urban concrete jungle; it's MUCH more than that, and where I live I can enjoy some lovely quiet roads and beautiful scenery!
Plus, life for me in general is about having FUN - a feeling sadly lacking in the lives of many in today's world.

That is the thing though Marco, if I want to have fun, I take the 7 for a run out on the country roads. If I am travelling to work, I take the Skoda, as it is dark and cold. The 7 is no fun in these conditions. You need to be awake when you drive it. The BMW was a car you could have fun in, but it was not as comfortable to travel in. Comfort now rates highly on my list of priorities.
I have just checked the figures for my car since I last filled it up. I am at 0.6 l/100km, which works out at just over 470 mpg.
Absolutely crazy, but you have to add in the additional electricity costs.
I am starting to get worried about the petrol going off in the fuel tank....
The good news is that I have a long run planned soon, so will be able to properly warm up the ICE, and refresh the fuel in the tank.
