The Ox-Bow Incident, 1943. Directed by William A. Wellman, and starring Henry Fonda, Dana Andrews and Mary Beth Hughes, with Anthony Quinn, William Eythe, Harry Morgan and Jane Darwell.
The film premiered in May 1943 to positive reviews from critics. It was nominated for the Oscar for Best Picture at the 16th Academy Awards, losing to Casablanca.
More recently, La Furia Umana's Toshi Fujiwara said the film is "one of the most important westerns in the history of American cinema", and Clint Eastwood has stated this is his favorite film.

The African Queen, 1951.. Directed by John Huston and stars Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn.
Production censors objected to several aspects of the original script, which included the two characters cohabiting without the formality of marriage (as in the book) and some changes were made before the film was completed.[12] Another change followed the casting of Bogart; his character's lines in the original screenplay were rendered with a thick Cockney dialect but the script had to be completely rewritten because the actor was unwilling to attempt it. The rewrite made the character Canadian.
