Yeah it's something I'm going to have to get my head around if I change from a hybrid.
Got so used to really good figures.
Think I've only once had a period under 50mpg and that was in cold weather.

its about satisfaction, and sometimes people who buy expensive cars have a more demanding idea of whats good or bad about their cars. I remember when i bought my Skoda Octavia estate, it was the top car from the top maker, and way ahead of VX, of whom its part of, and most of the makings were the same. And by some way too. VW were way down the list. My C-HR from Toyota is based on a Lexus in much of its Technology, and the Hybrid stuff and platform, the same as a Prius.

Also read that Ford will be making some electric cars using a VW platform.. odd how these things go

I know but perhaps the Peugeot customers were pleasantly surprised whereas the Lexus customers would be (quite rightly) expecting perfection in every respect.

I never let my tank go less than half-full, just a habit I've got into, as I always like going into the car knowing I don't have to think about refuelling for a while.

Plus, I like to use my fav fuel (Texaco Supreme Diesel), as that's what the car runs best on, by a notable margin, and so hate filling up with anything 'inferior', which I may be forced to do if there isn't a Texaco station in the vicinity

we used to have a texaco station here, but i dont think there are any in scotland now

Yeah, you're right. I've just looked!

I not only like the fuel [see link below], but they're one of the few fuel companies still to offer a cash-off reward scheme (500 points = £5 fuel voucher), rather than bollox such a Nectar points, which aren't much use to us, as there's rarely anything of great interest to redeem them against.
