Might soon be looking around for a Midi System for my bedroom.
Nothing fancy, just something with a decent sound. Don't mind if it dates back to the 90s.
Any recs?

I'm Martyn.
I've always had a soft spot for the small Denon RCD M41 that in various updated guises has always reviewed well.
I have one I use in a holiday home and you have the option for speakers, I've got old Monitor Audios on mine
Think the very latest has Bluetooth, if that's of any importance to you.
It has digi in, so I feed a DVD/CD player and TV output to it, also a.pair of RCA analogue in, which will be receiving signal from my DAC32 when I next go there.

Teac did a nice mini system in the 90's or if you're looking for older more retro Aiwa of all people made a superb mini system back in the late 70's
As the late Colonel Sanders once said
"I'm too drunk to taste this chicken!!"
As I mentioned elsewhere, I’d go Yamaha and their range based around the AX-9 or 10 amplifiers and CDX-9 or 10 CD players.
The range also includes tuners, receivers, cassette decks and a minidisc player.
Edit - although the Aiwa system is an excellent choice!

mmm...mini compo
Current Lash Up:
TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.
Technics made some nice little systems in the 90s (New Class A or AA if I remember correctly). Maybe find a retro one on eBay?
These are all mini systems or mini-component system and the request is for a midi system. Which technically is one of deez:
