    Not true. I've tried it.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Ha - it's not dirt or dust that's the problem (heaven forbid), simply an untidy little madam who can't put her tights, bras and knickers away where they're supposed to go! Oh and her shoes, as even though she now has dedicated racks for them, they're abandoned simply wherever they've been removed... The rest, her actual clothes, are ok, so different rules must apply there

Therefore, just 'superficial mess', but annoying mess nevertheless. Anyway, we'll see whether ignoring the situation helps or not!

Have you thought of “accidentally” standing on a discarded shoe and damaging it? Add in some “Ow, ow, ow, I’ve hurt my foot” noises for maximum effect.

I remember that, it was his justification for everything having a carpet of dust. You can't argue with that logic. Whenever life throws something at me, I always ask myself "What would Quentin Crisp do?"

Who can tell how a woman's mind works? When Jack Nicholson was asked (in "As Good as it Gets" about his novels from a female perspective, how he managed to think like a woman, he replied "I think of a man, then take away reason and accountability".

Guy's girls are in their 20's, mine are now in their 30's and whenever I visit them, their homes look like a church hall at the end of the annual jumble sale. So not necessarily a teenage thing.

Lol - I'm loving the inventiveness of some of the suggestions!

And yes that could certainly work with any of her heels (left upright) if I trod on one barefoot, and 'accidentally' snapped the heel off... I can just imagine her reaction!!! I think you'd probably hear the screams from Hampshire

The biggest problem though is tights, especially as it's winter and she wears them nearly every day.

When she tries a pair on with a skirt or dress and decides that they're not quite the right shade, or horror of horror, there's a run in them, instead of either chucking them away or folding them back neatly where they go (she's got drawers with separate little boxes/dividers, where all her socks, tights and knickers are supposed to be stored neatly in colour order), they're just abandoned either on the floor or on the bed, often scrunched up in balls...

Then she moans when she can't find anything - and asks me if I've seen it!! Can't win, mate... I think Geoff's got the right idea, I could always burn all her tights and force her to go barelegged - now *THAT* would teach her!!

Lol - no I think it's a girly thing, rather than teenage. Del's in her early forties (although she looks and sounds younger), but has been the same, in that respect, since I've known her. I think the biggest problem is she's become too accustomed to me tidying up after her, and now considers that as the norm.

yeah she could also burn your trousers and you can go bare legged; of course that probably wouldn't bother you as you would just step into your yellow crinalins

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Lol, keep up - the new ones are pink! But yes, that's probably a bit cruel (even though I quite like the bare leg look, lol, and she has nice legs without any blemishes), but probably not fair on the wee lass.

You know a bit about her, so how do you honestly think she'd react if I did that - positively (although grudgingly) conceding that I had a point, and then change her habits, or otherwise, as in get upset?
