I thought the girl from 1938 was in the coffin?Lol... I think they were all ghosts/spirits from the past. And in the end he was taken away to be buried in that coffin. A lot of these things don't always make sense. If they do, it's a bonus! I just watch them for the 'vibe'

Yes the bloke was a welcome injection of humour, when the main character turned down a game of cards I laughed out loud when he said 'is there anything else you'd like to do?' with a leer.
It was an interesting old television curio and I know these type of stories generally leave a lot to your imagination I just felt this left too much to the viewer to work out.

Yeah, I agree. I just love such 'old curios', though. Weird, dark, spooky stuff like that, which an awful lot of seems to have been made during the 60s/70s/early 80s. Wonder what it was/what prompted the making of such material in those days, as loads of TV programmes/dramas/series/films in those days had a dark/spooky/eerie vibe - and I miss it!It was an interesting old television curio and I know these type of stories generally leave a lot to your imagination I just felt this left too much to the viewer to work out.
