I am not 100% sure that an achromat with a glass back will be any different to an achromat bonded to a glass platter, if I am honest.
Taking the old one off will not be easy, and hard to replace as I have heard they are discontinuing the 5mm version.

They were the only 'sanely priced' ones I could find in 12uF, and cheap as chips! Should do the job nicely, in combination with the Jupiter Copper Foils

Lol - I know what you mean. so am I. He said it's one of the best examples he's worked on [testament to it having been looked after and only one owner from new], and sounds fantastic now, after essentially being stripped down and rebuilt!
As you can imagine, being one of Tandberg's original EEs, he knows these machines inside out. He's in his mid-60s and proper old school
