I agree, although you're not supposed to put milk in Darjeeling!
Fair enough if you like that way, but that does partly explain the colour. Scroll back to the pic I posted on the previous page of the Darjeeling and cake I had, and observe it's lovely deep amber colour, sans milk!
I think the only 'fine tea' I might put milk in is Assam.

You can make it pretty with fresh mint etc but on its own it's always gonna be a loser looks wise.
BTW I don't like Darjeeling without milk so Input it in. I also think it tastes best luke warm or even cold.

Lol, whilst I agree that tea isn't particularly photogenic, we'll have to agree to disagree on the colour... On my display, I see it as more of a lovely deep amber, just as it should be, not simply "brown liquid"
However, what makes you put milk in Darjeeling? It totally spoils it, IMHO, as it ruins its delicate floral flavour, and really doesn't taste nice. But I guess if you like like that, that's cool
