Yeah, the Shure should work fine on the Jelco, so that's defo an option, but if you're thinking of getting another MP200, then they'll probably be no contest.
To answer your question about what's the best stylus to use with the SC35C, IMO it's a genuine NOS one. The aftermarket varieties with posh tips, such as those from Jico sound quite different, but IMO, and for my tastes, a bit 'too hi-fi', and for me that's not what the Shure is about.
You don't want to spoil or alter its ballsy 'fun' sound, which IMO is the case with anything fitted other than a NOS stylus. Certainly don't touch modern replacements of such with a bargepole, as the quality is shocking!
