Advice needed: It is easy to remove and clean the "cup" that the ground coffee goes in, but what do others do with the mount (not sure what it is called) - the bit with the bayonet fitting/handle. Di you soak in bicarb or something (I take it that dishwasher is a "no no" as their seem to be alloy parts.

Lol... "Cup" = FILTER, and the other one is called a PORTAFILLER
Yes, the filter just pops out. And after use, and removing the 'puck' (hardened mound of coffee produced after extraction), I just rinse the filter under a hot tap, shaking it to ensure that all the coffee grinds are out, which you can tell when the drips run clear, rather than brown, and leave it to dry naturally on the drainer.

You can wash in soapy water and dry every now and then. Other times run hot water through both before starting

The only thing is I have no need for one of those 'razors', because as you know I hand-grind my beans, and so simply spoon the grinds from the container in the Lido, into the filter, then tap them down before distribution and tamping
