Art of Sound is supposed to be a community and as such and in that spirit it would be nice to offer things on the forum for sale or if you know that someone would like something then to offer it to them. If they can't afford it etc then offer it to the broader membership. This is a nice thing to do + it saves ebay and paypal fees as well.

I know you would quite like a Revox classic tuner A67 (I think). If I had one and I don't, I would contact you first to see if you were interested. If not then onto the forum and then ebay or elsewhere.

Now when DarrenW originally sold the Accuphase I was not really as interested in tuners as I am now but when Ali got it I commented at the time on how much I would like one as my interest had grown. I also think that pretty much everyone on the forum knows of my interest in tuners and the review I am involved in doing. As the Accuphase is supposed to be the top dog, so the opportunity to obtain one would have been a real blessing.

Truth is I feel a bit hurt by this and let down by the community Its impossible to see everything and I missed this.

I don't have a right to anything exclusive and that's not what I am saying, just it would have been nice to have been asked that's all.

Firstly I have not had a go ( I don't think) at anyone just expressed my disappointment and frustration at discovering I had missed out on something that would have been of massive help to me,that is all. Anyone who wants to read the PM I sent Ali can, I was not rude at all. Perhaps I have been naive in believing that people can remember expressions of interest, though not expressed loudly and back at the time; which is awhile ago (6 months ago+).

I think I am allowed to be disappointed. My disappointment was compounded in my belief that Ali new I would be interested in the tuner should he ever want to sell it. Obviously I got that wrong.

Frankly if the members of the forum don't know of my interest in tuners and my collecting of them for a massive review (I should point out for everyones benefit) then obviously I have failed somewhere.

I am not on a high horse...I don't think.

If I have made a prat of myself mentioning all this, well there you go, I am a prat Have a laugh and move on nothing more to see here......

Given some of the nutters I've come across when selling things occasionally on eBay, I pity professional traders trying to keep a clean sheet.

I'd like to say that 99.4% of the people I deal with at work would give me positive feedback if asked but that's probably a bit of a stretch.....
