I see that May Day bank holiday has been moved back to Friday 8th, to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day. That's really messed up my plans, NOT.

Whilst the 75th anniversary of VE day is well worth celebrating - the cynic in me wonders if Government want to use it to encourage the "war spirit", such as the social restraints, restrictions and deprivations the UK public suffered during WW2, to justify the current social conditions they have imposed on us.
