I can't think why, but I watched the whole thing. He is in a very privileged position, and his system would no doubt piss all over everyone's here.

But he is so proud and egotistical, and does not appear to be someone who has used a passion to drive him to personal creativity as so many designers have. So all he seems to be doing is saying "Look at what I've got, isn't it lovely, and I get to play with it and get paid for giving my opinion of gear."

In contrast there are guys here with a millionth his finance, who passionately work at building stuff, rather than just hooking up stuff.

Flicked through it. Comes across as a prize arse.

I spend half my life on conference calls with people just like him who spend their entire existence doing a Kermit the Frog impersonation.

I doubt it, it's mostly overpriced tat that he gets on permanent loan.

Most people respect Michael, simply because he is rich and has sky high status. Plus, his social circle is massive.

Doesn't seem like much of a reason for 'respect'. Americans like rich people as they assume virtue and money go together. Less so in Europe.

If I had his system and music collection I might be a little smug too!
