The problem seems to be that you spend all your 'dry weather' time looking out the window wondering if it's going to rain, right up until it does

Get a gazebo ya tight bugger, about 20 quid from JTF
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

No No No Sir I was outside working , looking at the clouds , Then PISSSSSSH

Re the gazebo , Next door have one it lasted about 2 weeks before the roof was shredded , Now they have a cheap woven plastic thing tied over the top and tied to the fence posts
    Who is JTF

JTF is the trading name for JT Frith, and sell allsorts quite cheaply, from cans of pop to hot tubs, with everything in between. Not that much cheaper than other places mind, after they add the VAT A bit like Makro I suppose. Take your point about the flimsiness - ok for vertical rain, but a bugger when windy, acts like a parachute.

    Todays progrès

Set the depth of cut on the Bosch saw , Several test cuts to establish 7/8" depthIMG_3859 by , on Flickr
    .
    .
Then down the garage to the Hammer bandsaw and compiete the lap joint

    .
    .

The joints will be glued, squared, clamped and screwed with 5 screw in each joint
    .IMG_3861 by , on Flickr
    .
    .
Some photos look distorted , Thats the camera not the wood , Although the recycled timber is not perfect it has some damage and some lengths are twisted over the 8 foot lengths ( Bummer )
Didnt manage to get all the joints cut before the rain , still have a few to complete , I'm getting there

The problem with the saw is that each time I get it out for use on the Bosch stand the vertical is out of alignment , I then have to set it up again so the cuts are accurate

    Bit more done today

Sanded all the corner infill / strengtheners on my small belt sander
    IMG_3871 by , on Flickr
    .
    .
    .
Jig , ( No Marco not a dancing jig , calm down lad )

This is for neatness to achive all securing screws in the same place rather than random positions

    .
    .
    .
Next up is a rather tedious job , sandin off all the old stain / varnish In a effort to keep my lungs clean I will do this on my sanding bench connected to my cyclone extractor plus wear my Sundstrom PPE hood filter and try and avoid the cough splutter of DUST
