You probably did, Barry. It's excellent, and has very distinctive flavour all of its own (due mainly to the unique grape variety used). Indeed, so much so that I instantly identified it in a blind tasting that I took part in a few years agoI could well have drunk that when I visited Syria. Every hotel I stayed in had a selection of local wines as well as some imported from Lebanon. The Lebanese wine was regarded as being much superior to the local stuff, not only by me but by the wine waiters there. And it wasn't that expensive either.
Sort of a cross between a good Médoc and a really earthy, robust Barolo.
