A mate of mine has an rp10/apheta2 which is a very nice tt.
Whilst the new one is undoubtedly a chunk of ££, it’s still a fair bit less than offerings from Linn, Avid & a host of others.
I think the issue may be that when you pick an rp10 up, it’s so light, it’s almost disconcerting! I guess “Heavy” sells?
I heard the Rega P8 over two days at last year's Signals HiFi Audio Show East, and it turned out to be a rather lovely performer, far more engaging than any Rega that I'd heard to date. So, I would not rule this new P10 out for anyone thinking about spending this sort of money. In any case, the new Rega market is not the same as the vintage or DIY market, so the P10 will probably do well, and probably deserves to.

Yes, in the real world, Rega turntables are deservedly popular.
The P8 has been a big seller and I have an advance order from a customer for the P10.

Apparently it’s £30,000.00 for the Rega Naiad.

Can we please stop all the Rega bashing, at least until mine has sold. Ta.

My Brother has an RP10 and Apheta 2 - sadly it has never been out of its box so I haven't heard it and neither has he!
His life is in limbo, hopefully soon he'll get himself sorted and we'll be able to have a good session until then it's occasional visits to mine for beer and tunes
