I know Marsalis has been doing some classical stuff with orchestras etc. I’m not so keen on that !! I feel there are far better classical saxophonists out there than he is. I thought....oops, here we go !! Not going to like this.

So, having checked this out on you tube, I’m really pleased that it isnt that. It’s jazz based.

I like it.

For me, he has one of the best tenor sounds around, and in my view he has THE best soprano sound of anyone, currently.
So it was great to hear both. And he uses the natural reverb/echo of the church to great effect.
