There’s one particular Seiko Kinetic that has escaped from the collection, I know it’s still in the house somewhere but when your cupboard looks like this there’s plenty of hiding places

Well, there's a rewarding afternoon job one weekend. A cupboard tidy up.

What's the correct watch to wear for the task though? Choosing could take longer than the tidying does.

Probably no watch is best for any manual activity, even Hardlex is susceptible to scratches.

Nowt wrong wi’ an Invicta, same movement you’ll find on £500 Seiko Sub’s...only caveat, is the Seiko 5.
Spend a wee bit more and be happier.

Grant’s pocket watches are the finest horological timepieces I’ve ever laid my eyes on outside the internet...really really special.

For myself, aside a few Seiko SKX’s on various bands..
the Latest entry, the Hamilton ‘Interstellar”.
Best modern interpretation (I think) of the WW2 Flieger Pilot watches outside an IWC Big Pilot...a friend has one...I prefer the Hamilton.


Designed specifically for the movie by Hamilton, who have a long horological connection with Hollywood, Time being a major factor in the movie the watch is a big deal.
Not the most expensive watch in the world, but like all Picasso paintings (which come come down to a bit of stretched canvas he could find at the time and a few daubs of paint) ....

...it’s all about the Story.

Nice lookin’ watch, looks good on brown leather.

Aside the day/date complications being at 6 and 12 looks very similar.
My favourite part of this watch is the way the numerals catch the light, sometimes the face looks black until you twist your wrist and the numbers pop.

Looks good on the stainless steel bracelet to. Leather straps seem to need breaking in, bit like shoes.
