Thanks all,
Will be adding some proper amplification next but house move has that on hold, my old Sony power amp from my TT system will have to do for now (or i'll just buy a second and run them in mono)

Honestly i thought the performance's would be a bit better but in all honesty they blow the mezzo's out of the water even running from my AVR and not the power amp. They go lower, fuller, sound stage is massive the have control for days on end and they just sound right in every way, i found for music the mezzo's still need a sub, these do not.
My farther in law has some very nice ATC's running from large ATC monoblocks all in all about £10k worth, I'd really struggle to recommend those over the P6's even with the lack of amplification.
Only down sides are they are very shiny and mark quite easily, these have been polished and waxed using Sonax pro car wax about £80 a pot but it just protects them a little bit more, and they aren't small and weight about 40kg each.
the mezzo 6's will be replacing my mezzo 1 rears in my setup.
