Indeed, but some stuff undeniably has more flavour than others, even if you don't like the particular flavour

What I'm dead against, unless you have absolutely no option for health reasons, is eating bland-tasting crap, simply because it contains less calories. In my view, simply eat what you like, but less of it and not too often, and vary your diet, combined with adequate exercise, to burn off the calories you consume.

Low-calorie (read as 'low-flavour') anything, especially processed foods sold in supermarkets, in my opinion, isn't fit for consumption.

Justers highlighted this fact way back, with his point about full-fat vs. any form of skimmed milk, as did Tim with butter vs. 'spread', which I wouldn't put near my mouth. Back in the day, we didn't need 'nannying' like this with our food, but then in those days we also used to MOVE a damn sight more, too!!
