    Default Roy Hargrove RIP

This is very sad news: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/03/o...trumpeter.html

He was only 49 years old. I am a big fan of his music. We saw him live at the Toronto jazz festival a few years ago. An outstanding performer. One of the best concerts we've ever been to. His passing is a great loss to the jazz community.

    Far too young. Great tunes.

Ah man ! Just seen this.

This mellow groove from his 'The RH Factor album' featuring D'Angelo brought him to my attention back in '03 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyLu4LmWYf8

    - Wish I'd have purchased it on vinyl lp instead of cd but hey ho.
