    No. I did say 'possibly suitable'. Lowther used a variety of drivers in the Acousta horn, so other units may work well enough.

    True, but they were all Lowther designed drivers. Just because the Philips unit has a 6" diameter and will fit the aperture, doesn't mean the combination will work as well as it would with a PM6 or PM7.

    I have heard both the Acousta and the Corner Acousta: both designs displayed superb transient attack, but were coloured. I couldn't and didn't live with them for long.

    I owned the PM6 Acoustas and also the PM6 Mk.I version and drew simlar conclusions and found the sound not to my taste.

    It's always the way it goes. Are your new speakers flat down to 20Hz?
