Wow that is some motor, I didn't know of its existence till now. Been a fan of Volos in recent years, and this is my new favourite.
I can certainly vouch for the reliability of Honda's cars, and it looks like the CRV would be the one best suited to your requirements. It's a decent size but not huge. I know someone who's on his second one and loves them. Quite pricey though.
The Mazda CX5 is also very nice and is another that Anita would be happy to live with (we've had Mazda before).

Quality... I love the matt finish. I'd have a C63 in a shot. The only thing that's stopping me is the potential fuel costs when driving abroad to Italy!!
