The optimal config for IQaudIO PI-DigiAMP+ (and Pi-DAC+) is the following:

(1) Menu, Configure, MPD
MPD volume control = "Hardware"

(2) Menu, Customize, Hardware Volume Control
Logarithmic curve = "Yes"
