What would be a generally acceptable price for the PCB without opamps, but including shipping? At the moment I make it £40 plus VAT.

That's excellent news! £30-40 would be acceptable to me. I see it as being similar to buying a decent soldering iron or other such tools to aid future tinkering, so that price falls in line with that. If you could supply it cheaper than £30 then that would be great and I would image a lot more people would buy one (or two) but I know stuff like this is not cheap to make in small quantities.
