Well i enjoyed my 1st speaker's a pair of Tannoy mercury mk1's , the most high end speaker i ever had was AE1's in rosewood and the amazing stands that they came with , never got on with them for 2 reason's , size of my room and the wrong amps ,but i would love to try them again .

I loved the Snell type J's but the AE linear 3's i have now work best in my current system and room layout .

My dream speakers if i got back into valve's that is , would be the Living Voice OBXR.

But in my current set up , i would have the Radiance 3's as an upgrade.

lastly although i never owned them ! the quad ESL57 which a friend of mine owned really shocked me , the sheer transparency and openess was breathtaking , but you had to sit in a sweetspot and it was like a pair of giant headphones , amazing though.
