Tim, did you ever find a reason why my hdd(usb) wont accept any more music using 2.6... message says usb drive is full to capacity. yet it still works fine on 2.5. Ive been unable to use 2.6 because of this.

Hi Grant,

This issue is related to the issue Rob was experiencing. The work around is to connect directly to share/<disk label>.

How did u connect to the USB disk when u were using Moode 2.5 ?

Same way Tim . its connected to a usb on RPI and is self powered. Pc sends new songs to it via Samba share over wifi to router then ethernet to RPI, then updated. It wont send with 2.6 and says its full, which its not. There is other stuff on the hd but its never been a problem before. The Drive on 2.6 does get a earlier name now as My Book where with 2.5 it just comes up with what is on the disc. I didnt know if this might be an issue or not

Moode 2.6 uses a new USB auto-mounter that mounts disks by their disk label (name). This prevents USB port hopping that was an issue present in Moode 2.5 audo-mounter.

If u are using Windows, open File Explorer, click on "Computer" and then select "Map network drive" from the menu bar.

Enter \\moode\USB\My Book

Ok I will give that a go. not sure what to do next but I take it I send music through that connection rather than from the moode usb one I usually do?

Only one way to find out lol.. I will power the stuff up downstairs, as I have a cd to add anyways.

Any idea how to get Radio Paradise to work on my old release of Moode (2.3 2015-09-05)?
It just stopped working and I assume the URL is out of date. I have no idea where to find a new one. I did try putting one of these URLs into Moode, but nothing happened:

It seems to have fixed itself overnight and works fine using the 320K UK URL.
Actually, I reckon the stream was interrupted yesterday rather than the Pi/Moode misbehaving.

Hi,

Moode 2.6 2016-06-27 update is available.

READ CAREFULLY

1) This update can take several minutes to complete due to components that are downloaded and installed from Jessie repo. After pressing INSTALL, ignore the message "Software update complete, Reboot required" that appears almost immediately and just wait 3-5 minutes. There is bug in Worker that prevents System config screen from auto-waiting before displaying the completion message. The bug is fixed in this update.

The update process can be monitored by ssh TOP to determine when its ok to reboot. Look for apt-get and mandb running. When they are both finished and no longer appear in list, its safe to reboot.

2) This is the first update to provide new radio stations, logos and other settings via in-place SQL updating. After rebooting, select "Update this folder" for RADIO or alternativly run UPDATE MPD DB from the Source config screen so the new stations appear in the RADIO list.

3) PHP/NGINX Interprocess Communications (IPC) are updated to use fast UNIX socket instead of slower Network stack. PHP session handling is updated to use fast memory cache instead of slower disk files.

4) New settings in System config, Peripherals section for Keyboard and Layout codes compliments of coding by Richard Parslow.

5) One of the updates installs html files that revert the knob colors to Emerald. Use Customize to set another color, then back to your favorite color, then refresh.

Finally, it's always a good idea to BACKUP the SD Card before installing updates :-)
